Over the past 29 years of racing, Scott has etched his name into the record books of tracks all over the northeast, recording over 218 feature wins. He started his career at the Reading Fairgrounds racing an olympic stock, where he amassed 22 victories in a single season. After the speedway closed in 1978, Haus moved on to Big Diamond Raceway. Campaigning his familiar Ford Mustang, emblazoned with the number 76 of his idol Gerald Chamberlain, Scott took home 23 checkered flags in the limited late model class. After three years in the limited late model class, the decision was made to move up to the small block modified class. After only a few races, he met Ed Powell, and made the switch to super late models. Ed soon promised Scott they would go sprint racing if Scott could win the point championship at Selinsgrove. Picking up the track championship in 1983, propelled Scott to the world of sprint car racing. He ran for Ed for three years with limited success before moving on to run Bob Fetter’s car. Half a season later, Haus and Fetter parted ways, and Haus began footing the bill for his own team, earning wins at Port Royal, Selinsgrove and Big Diamond. After three years on his own, Scott teamed up with Curly Bowman and the #78 small block modified team. Over the next few years racing at Big Diamond, Grandview and Penn National, Scott earned wins at all but Grandview. However his biggest payday came at Grandview, finishing second in the 76er.


Following the stint in modifieds, Haus again teamed up with Ed Powell, returning to the late model ranks. Haus found success immediately, and soon Powell Motorsports was the team to beat in central Pennsylvania. After parting ways with Ed Powell, Scott teamed up with the Rob Mapes owned Beech Creek Racing team. Haus hit his stride with the new team immediately, winning 18 races during his first year with the team. The combination has led to enormous success over the past decade, including a record tying four consecutive point championships at Bedford Speedway and three at Port Royal. During their reign, they have consistently been the team to beat in central PA, winning more races than any other late model driver during that period, and setting all time win records at both Port Royal and Bedford.
